This piece is my go-to example when companies want a single video to promote their brand. It provides a large overview of the business, showcases the people behind the software, and tells the story of the company. While this is a great standalone piece, I worked at VTS full time for six years making a variety of content and continue to freelance for them. To see more of the work I do with them, visit their YouTube page.
Content marketing can seem counter-intuitive. After all, you’re not even talking about your brand! However, this was one of the the highest performing videos I created for VTS. It drove a lot of traffic to their website by giving viewers interesting content that provide a window into a changing industry. Video series like this can go a long way toward establishing your software brand as a thought leader in your space.
This is a perfect example of a concise, effective launch video done on a budget. With a bit of footage from their office, a script from their marketing team, and some product mockups, I was able to create a video ready for the launch of Feedvisor’s main platform. I’m used to working with the nimble environment of software, so as the product evolved nearing launch I was able to make several quick swaps in order to have the video match the new look.
Business conferences are a huge opportunity to create a lot of great content for your brand all at once. Here, we see an overview video made to drum up hype for next year’s conference as well as provide an upbeat recap for attendees. If you plan ahead, you can even leverage a conference to create a video about your brand that can serve as a hero video on your website!
In addition to a snazzy video to promote the conference itself, the talks and panels that make up the event can be great content for your blog or website. I especially like the way that Custora displayed their conference content here. This provides a lot of quality video to their clients and prospects while also giving a convincing argument on the benefits of attending CARMA next year.
Sometimes, rather than selling your tools and telling your company’s inspirational story, you simply need to show people how to use what you’ve built. For this particular video series I used the online tool Vyond, but I’m familiar with a variety of ways to give practical, to-the-point tutorials for the use of software and web platforms.
